Benjamin's Art: January, February and March, 2010!

Here's some of Benjamin's awesome art!

Oh Happy Day!!

Easter morning started out early with church services outside on the lawn. It was a beautiful morning, warm and without a cloud in the sky. A perfect morning to sing praises to God for raising His son and conquering sin and death!! After Easter services, we headed over to Grandma and Aunt B's house for a visit and to wish them a happy Resurrection Day! Then it was off to lunch with family at Dillons. We were so blessed to have our sweet cousin, Aubrey, with us for the afternoon. As well as her daddy, Loren, and Uncle Flake, Grandma Freda, Matt, Grandma Bettie, Grandpa Ron and Uncle Andy. It was a fun day and we are so thankful for our many blessings. But most of all, the gift of life through God's own son, Jesus!

Easter Egg Coloring!

On Saturday, April 3--the day before Easter--we colored Easter eggs! It was a blast and all four boys were very active in choosing the colors and getting their eggs to just the right shade! What a fun Easter tradition!

Day two: Our California Adventure!

Day two of our Disneyland surprise trip had us visiting Disney's California Adventure Park. We were there from the opening of the gates to the closing of the park, and we had a great time every minute!! We rode the rides of Paradise Pier, the Hollywood Back lot and Condor Flats. Daniel's favorite ride was California Screamin'. He rode this monstrous roller coaster a total of 7 times (4 times with Dad and three times with Mom). Benjamin and Ethan both loved the Grizzly River Rapids while Noah fell in love with King Triton's Carousel--which he rode 7 times because it's conveniently located right next to California Screamin'!! We didn't think our second day could be as fun as our first day, but, wow-ee, it was!!! By the end of day two, we were all smiles--and a little bit tired, too!!

Day One: Disneyland!

We spent day one of our Disneyland surprise trip in the original Disneyland Resort. We were blessed to have fantastic weather and minimal crowds--the longest line we stood in was less than 15 minutes long!! We worked our way through all the "lands": Tomorrow Land, Fantasy Land, Mickey's Toon Town, Frontier Land, Critter Country and Adventure Land. We stopped off at Mickey's House for our traditional visit and picture with our favorite mouse as well! At the end of the day, Daniel declared Thunder Mountain Railroad to be his favorite ride, Benjamin's was also Thunder Mountain, Ethan loved Star Tours the best while Noah liked Pirates of the Caribbean. The boys all agreed on their least favorite ride: It's A Small World!! And, we all said that the best thing of all was just being together and having fun!! Wow, what a FANTASTIC day!
